Delete your account
You can start a request to delete your OasisTree account and associated personal data from this page — you don’t need the app installed to begin.
What this deletes: your personal profile data and account access. Because OasisTree is a shared family product, some structural information — such as your position in a family tree other members still rely on — may be retained as an inactive placeholder rather than fully erased; this is an open architectural and legal question we are not yet claiming to have a final answer to (see our Privacy Policy, Section 6).
What may be retained regardless: payment and billing records, which South African law (FICA/SARS) requires us to keep for 7 years, and anything we’re legally required to retain.
Timing: every request is read and actioned by a person on our team. We confirm your identity by email, and we write to you again once the deletion is complete.
